Affiliated to the Scottish Karate Governing Body

Fife Shotokan is directly affiliated to Highland Karate Association.

Whilst we are an independent Shotokan Karate organisation, we have very close ties to the Academy of Shotokan Karate, lead by Sensei Dave Hazard.

The group consists of four clubs, three in Inverness and Fife Shotokan. The HKA is keen to expand and has, in the past, had links in Aberdeenshire, Moray, Ross-shire and Lochaber.

The Chief Instructor of the HKA is Ronnie Ross, 6^th Dan. Assisting Ronnie is Phil Owen, instructor of Charleston Karate Club and also 5^th Dan. In addition, we have Gordon Walker 5^th Dan, as well as 4 Sandans (3^rd Dan).

Regular courses with Sensei Hazard are held in Inverness and Dunfermline, and students are encouraged to develop their skills by training elsewhere.
