Affiliated to the Scottish Karate Governing Body
Fife Shotokan is directly affiliated to Highland Karate Association.
Whilst we are an independent Shotokan Karate
organisation, we have very close ties to the Academy of Shotokan Karate, lead by
Sensei Dave Hazard.
The group consists of four clubs, three in
The Chief Instructor of the HKA is Ronnie Ross, 6th
Dan. Assisting Ronnie is Phil Owen, instructor of Charleston Karate Club and
also 5th Dan. In addition, we have Gordon Walker 4th Dan,
as well as 4 Sandans (3rd Dan).
Regular courses with Sensei Hazard are held in
Inverness, and students are encouraged to develop their skills by training
elsewhere.
