Well, we’re all back in the swing of training again, and now it’s time to get down to the business of gradings!
The grading has now been booked for Saturday, March 19th at Abbeyview Community Centre. As per usual, we have also booked in some extra pre-grading classes at Abbeyview as well. All the times are quoted at the bottom of this newsletter.
LICENCES
This is my regular call out to ensure that everyone
has a valid licence, especially when it comes to grading time. I have
previously taken the flak when people grade with out of date licences or even
no licence at all. However, a recent litigation case in a karate club means
that I must be more strict now. If you don’t have a valid licence, then you
don’t get to grade.
If you need a licence application form, please ask Scott or myself for one or download from the club website. I need these by Monday 21st February, in order to submit them for processing by the Association.
Sensei Hazard Course – Charleston Academy, Inverness, February 19th & 20th
Class Times are: Saturday
1 – 4pm (5th Kyu and above)
Sunday 10.00 –
11.30 (5th Kyu and above)
11.30
– 1.00pm (all grades)
£10 per class for adults, £35 for all 4.
EMERGENCY FIRST AID COURSE
I am going to host a one day First Aid course in
the Spring. To help cover the costs, I will open this up to any student and
parents interested in attending. If you are interested in booking a space,
please let me know. Date to be confirmed once I know numbers.
